The XV500 is an X series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1984. It has a unique, swoopy, pointy, exaggerated X-shaped body.

The XV500 features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez V5 humbucking pickups, a Pro Rock'r double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut, knurled metal Tek Grip volume knob and Smooth Tuner II machine heads.

The XV500 was offered only in 1985.
