The XPT700 is a Xiphos series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2007. It is a part of the Ibanez X series and the first model in the Xiphos sub-series. It was made in Indonesia
The XPT700 features a neck through body construction with mahogany body wings attached to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and reversed sharktooth position markers. Components include a pair of DiMarzio D Activator pickups and an Edge III double locking tremolo bridge.
For 2009, the entire Xiphos line was visually updated with broader body bevels and new finishes. For 2011, the Wizard II neck was changed to a Wizard III.
