The Ibanez WRB3 is a signature model of American guitarist Reb Beach, best known for his work in the melodic rock band Winger. It was produced for a short time in very small numbers. They were available worldwide in 1990, but until 1992 in Japan. See:
According to Reb Beach's site, only 100 of the guitars, decorated with the Winger graphic, were produced for sale in Japan only, each one personally signed and numbered by Reb. 3 guitars were also built for Reb himself. Unfortunately Reb was forced to sell all 3 of his WRB-3's "for rent in the 'dark time' we try not to remember".
Beach designed the guitar himself, inspired by models such as the Gibson Explorer. Features include a mahogany body, EMG pickups, the Edge tremolo and a special 'Winter' graphic print.
The WRB3 is the only Reb Beach Model series model with the WRB type name and body shape. In 1991, a new model was introduced as the RBM1 and RBM2.
