The V7, S1 and V8 on the EGEN8 |
The Vintage/ Single pickups (V & S) are a line of magnetic pickups for solid body electric guitars that are designed by DiMarzio and produced by Ibanez in Japan to the original DiMarzio specifications.
The Vintage pickups were partially replaced by the Infinity pickups on the entry-to-mid level models when production of those lines moved to Korea in 1994.

V2 / V-2
|
Description: | Hot, high-output humbucker.[1] Delivers a combination of high output and solid upper midrange response.[2] If hot is the way you like it, you're sure to like the V-2. The V-2 has extremely high output with reinforced upper midrange response. The V-2 is designed to be played wide open.[3] It was developed for Paul Stanley's PS10 and was said to mimic DiMarzio's Super Distortion. |

V5
V5
|
Description: | Delivers powerful mid-range punch.[4] Arched bladed bar (58mm x 5mm) balances each string and eliminate volume deterioration caused by string bending. Powerful magnetic field enables marvelous sustain and high output. Wax potting results in a smooth and warm distortion.[5] The V7 is a single-coil pickup with a similar design. |

V7 (single coil)
V7
|
Description: | Delivers powerful, bright tone. 42 gauge wire.[4] Arched bladed bar (58mm x 5mm) balances each string and eliminate volume deterioration caused by string bending. Offers great lows and brilliant highs. Single-coil version of the V5 pickup.[6] The V7T has identical internals as the V7 with a molded in-body direct mounting cover.[7] This pickup is not related to the similarly named V7 humbucker. |
V7T (single coil)
V7T
|
Description: | The V7T has identical internals and specs as the V7, but with a special molded cover to allow for direct in-body mounting rather than mounting to a pickguard or pickup ring.[8] This pickup is not related to the similarly named V7 humbucker. |
