The Vintage/ Single pickups (V & S) are a line of magnetic pickups for solid body electric guitars that are designed by DiMarzio and produced by Ibanez in Japan to the original DiMarzio specifications.

The Vintage pickups were partially replaced by the Infinity pickups on the entry-to-mid level models when production of those lines moved to Korea in 1994.

Ibanez V2 humbucker
Description: Hot, high-output humbucker.[1] Delivers a combination of high output and solid upper midrange response.[2] If hot is the way you like it, you're sure to like the V-2. The V-2 has extremely high output with reinforced upper midrange response. The V-2 is designed to be played wide open.[3] It was developed for Paul Stanley's PS10 and was said to mimic DiMarzio's Super Distortion.
