The VC44CE is a V series acoustic/ electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2023. It is produced in China.
The VC44CE features a cutaway grand concert body constructed of laminated meranti top, sides, and back with an open pore finish. The round soundhole has a black & white multi rosette and a black pickguard. The meranti neck joins the body at the 14th fret has a 21-fret nandu wood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a compensated plastic saddle in a nandu wood bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a plastic nut, and chrome Ibanez covered tuning machines.
The VC44CE's electronics consist of an Ibanez undersaddle pickup connected to an AEQ-2T preamp with an onboard tuner powered by a 9 volt battery and feeding a ¼" output jack.
A new Weathered Black finish was offered from 2025.
The VC44 is an acoustic-only version without the electronics. The VC40WSCE is a related model with a white siris body. The V44MINIE is a related ¾-sized model with a dreadnought style body.
