The V74 is a V series acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2012. It was made in China and sold exclusively in China.
The V74 features a dreadnought body with a laminated spruce top with binding on mahogany back and sides with an open pore finish. The round soundhole has a mahogany rosette and a tortoiseshell pickguard. The mahogany neck has a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a compensated Ivorex II saddle in a rosewood bridge with white Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, an Ivorex II nut, and chrome Ibanez Smooth Tuner AS tuning machines.
For 2013 the tuners were replaced with Ibanez die-cast units and the Ivorex II nut and saddle were replaced with plastic nut and saddle.
The V72 is a similar model with a black waterslide rosette, no body binding, a gloss finish and a black pickguard. The V74ECE is an acoustic-electric version with a cutaway body.
The V74 was discontinued in 2018.
