- For a different model with the same name, see V72ECE (2006–2013).
The V72ECE is a V series acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2017. It was made in China and sold exclusively in China.
The V72ECE features a dreadnought body with a Venetian cutaway. It has a laminated spruce top on mahogany back and sides with a natural gloss finish. The round soundhole has a black waterslide rosette and black pickguard. The mahogany neck has a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a compensated plastic saddle in a rosewood bridge with white bridge pins, a plastic nut, and chrome Ibanez die-cast tuning machines.
Electronics consist of an Ibanez under-saddle pickup, an Ibanez AEQ-2T preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery, and a ¼" output jack.
The V74ECE is a similar model with a mahogany soundhole rosette, body binding, an open pore finish and a tortoiseshell pickguard. The V72 is a similar acoustic-only model without the cutaway body.
This version of the V72ECE was discontinued after 2017. A similar model, the V72CE, was introduced in 2020.
