UV7S Black
The UV7S is a seven string Universe series solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in 1997. It is a signature model of American guitarist Steve Vai. It was made in Japan by FujiGen. It was referred to as the UV7 although that name refers to an earlier version which had green pickups and fretboard inlays; as such this model is often referred to as the "white dot" Universe.
The UV7S features an American basswood body bolted to a quartersawn maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include DiMarzio Blaze II pickups mounted in a black pickguard with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil, a double locking tremolo tremolo bridge, Gotoh tuning machines, green top hat knobs and a tilt output jack.
The UV7S was produced for just one year after which it was replaced by the UV777P.
