The UCGR10 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1991. It was produced in the United States as part of the Graphic Design series of the USA Custom line. The Graphic Design models feature bodies which are handpainted by "some of the most skilled and imaginative artists in America".[2]
The UCGR10 features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with sharktooth position markers. Components include a DiMarzio Double Whammy humbucking pickup at the bridge and a DiMarzio-made IBZ/USA C2 single coil pickup at the neck, an Edge double locking tremolo bridge, a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
The image on this guitar, entitled "Ice World", features a black and white checkerboard floor with ice-covered trees, clouds and stars in the background. It was handpainted and signed by Dan Lawrence.
This represents only the "stock" configuration, as customers could customize the guitar to their own desires. The customer could select the pickup configuration and pickups, the fretboard material and inlays, the headstock, the hardware color and more.
The UCGR10 was discontinued after 1991 although a similar Custom Graphics series was offered in 1992. The 92UCGR1 has a similar image.
