  • The AXD82P is one of 28 guitars I have, bought it last year because wanted a hollow body but not the bulk. Still experimenting with it. Seems pretty well made and is light. The action is exceptionally low and frets and neck are perfect. For $249 CAD used in excellent condition ....no complaints at all. PU's are fine. Once owned Ken Hensley's (Uriah Heep) 6/12 1978 Artist 2640 which I bought in London, have an RG927QMZ,Ibanez SAS36FM, Ibanez SZ520QM, Ibanez Studio 105, a mikkro and AVT1 tenor.

    • Nice. Sounds like a nice little collection you've got there. These AXDs are pretty sparse; pretty sure I've never seen one IRL.

I do have an semi-hollow Talman (TM71) from more or less the same period and it's a fun guitar to play. It weighs nothing compared to my solid body guitars, so it's real comfortable to sling around. I don't love the Artcore pickups. I've been trying to find time to put a piezo system in it and swap the humbuckers out for a set of P90s, but I haven't made it happen yet.

Thanks for sharing your guitars and helping keep the Wiki complete and correct.
