The Smooth Tuner II is a style of machine head (a.k.a. tuning peg) installed on a number of Ibanez guitar models. They are produced for Ibanez by Gotoh.[1] It was sometimes referred to as the Smooth Tuner Mini II.

The Smooth Tuner II have a sealed, die cast housing. They feature an oval button shape with squared off sides. Two versions were offered: those with in-line mounting screws (i.e. at the 6 o'clock position) and those with mounting screws offset at 45ยบ (i.e. at the 4:30 or 7:30 position). The in-line screw version is similar in design to Gotoh's SG301 tuners[2] while the offset screw version is similar to their SG381 tuners.[3]

The Smooth Tuner is a similar tuner which was offered concurrently. The primary difference between the two appears to be the button style.
