The Smooth Tuner is a style of machine head (a.k.a. tuning peg) installed on a number of Ibanez guitar models. They were produced for Ibanez by Gotoh.[1]

The Smooth Tuner have a button shape which is unique to Ibanez and an 18:1 gear ratio.[2]. They are made for 3+3 (three tuners on each side of the headstock) applications. They were offered with a couple of different styles of tuner body which are similar in design to Gotoh's SG301 or SG381 tuners.[3]

The Smooth Tuner II is a different tuner which was offered concurrently. It has a different button style and is made for 6-inline (all tuners on the same side of the headstock) applications.
