The SZ520CT is an SZ series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in mid 2006. It was made in South Korea and was a spot model which never appeared in a catalog.
The SZ520CT features a mahogany body mated to a set-in mahogany neck with a 22-fret rosewood fretboard with binding and special flame (or squid?) position markers. Components include a pair of humbucking pickups made by Ibanez and designed by Seymour Duncan with individual volume controls, a Gibraltar III fixed bridge, Ibanez die-cast tuning machines and knurled metal knobs. It has a staggered through-body stringing arrangement for superior tonal balance.
The SZ520QM is a similar model with a quilted maple top and different fretboard inlays. The SZ520FM is another similar model with a flamed maple top and different inlays.
