The SV5470F is an SV series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2008. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The SV guitar models are based on the S series models, but have a synchronized tremolo bridge rather than the double locking systems found on the regular S models.
The SV5470F features a flamed maple top with binding on a mahogany body bolted to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and small pearloid dot position markers. Components include Ibanez pickups with a pair of True Duo Blast humbuckers with a True Duo coil-split system flanking a Short Tracer single-coil, a SynchroniZR ball bearing pivot synchronized tremolo bridge with a ZPS-FX tuning stabilizer, a Graph Tech TUSQ XL teflon impregnated nut, and Ibanez auto-trimming locking tuners which cut excess string as the locking clamp is engaged.
In 2009, a new middle position pickup was introduced. New in 2010 was the Wizard HP neck.
Several related models which differ only by body top material and finish have been offered: SV5470 (plain maple top), SV5470A (ash top) and SV5470Q (quilted maple top). The SV5470QE was a limited edition model with a quilted maple top and EMG pickups, but otherwise similar.
Since 2012 the SV5470F has been offered only in Japan. It was discontinued in 2016.
