The SV470 is an SV series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1995. This particular model was made in South Korea by Cort and sold only in the United States; another model with the same name was offered worldwide between 1992 and 1997 and was made in Japan. The two models are similar but have some differences, most notably the pickups.
The SV series features the Viper neck which is thicker than the Wizard necks on the typical S series models.
The SV470 features a mahogany body bolted to a maple Viper neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include Ibanez Axis pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil and a synchronized tremolo bridge with gold finish.
