The ST1500 is a double neck Studio series model introduced by Ibanez for 1980. It was made in Japan by FujiGen and offered only in Germany.
The ST1500 has a twelve string guitar neck and a four string bass neck. It features a mahogany body with birch top and back bolted to a pair of three-piece rock maple necks with 20-fret rosewood fingerboards with pearloid dot position markers. The guitar neck has a pair of Ibanez Super 70 humbucking pickups with exposed cream bobbins in black pickup rings, a Gibraltar Tune-O-Matic style bridge and special stop tailpiece. The bass neck has a single Super 4 pickup and an Accu-Cast B bridge. Other components consist of rubberized Sure Grip control knobs, black pickguards and covered tuners.
Controls consist of separate volume and tone controls for each neck and a 3-way pickup selector for the guitar neck. Each neck has a separate output mounted on the guitar face.
The ST1400 is a similar model with a 6 string guitar neck. The ST1200 is another Studio double neck with 6 string and 12 string guitar necks.
The ST1500 was discontinued after 1980.
