The SS300 is an Artstar Solid Top series hollow body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in mid 2014. It was made in China. It replaced the SS500.
The SS300 features a full-hollow body design with a solid spruce top with ƒ holes and wooden multi-binding on flamed maple back and sides with a single Florentine cutaway mated to a set-in maple and walnut neck with a 20-fret ebony fingerboard with wooden binding and no position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Super 58 humbucking pickups with gold covers, an ART-W bridge with wooden saddle and base, a trapeze tailpiece with decoration, a bone nut, a bakelite pickguard with rosewood veneer, rosewood knobs, and Ibanez tuning machines.
The SJ300 is a similar model with a slightly larger body and a more rounded cutaway. The SS401F is a similar model with a single, floating humbucker pickup at the neck.
