The SRX300 is a SRX series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2002 as part of the initial offering of the new series. It was produced in South Korea as part of the Standard line.
The SRX300 features a double-cutaway lightweight agathis body bolted to a laminated maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a die-cast bridge with 19mm string spacing, a pair of Ibanez PFR-4 (Passive Full Range) pickups channeled through a 2-band EQ (EQB-IIDX), a plastic nut and Ibanez die-cast tuning machines.
The wood species used for the body was changed several times during the production run, from Agathis to Basswood and back. For 2003 the bridge was changed to the Accu-Cast B100.
