The SRH500F features semi-hollow construction with a spruce top on mahogany back and sides bolted to a jatoba and bubinga neck with a fretless rosewood fingerboard with binding and offset white dot position markers. Components include a Accu-cast bridge with AeroSilk piezo pickups and 19mm string spacing, a plastic nut, and Ibanez tuning machines. In addition to the controls on the front of the bass, there are a set of four trimpots on the rear cavity cover which allow you to dial in the piezo volume for each string individually.
For 2018 the rosewood fingerboard was replaced with panga panga and the jatoba and bubinga neck was replaced with jatoba and walnut. For 2019 the mahogany back and sides were replaced with okoume.
The SRH500 is a fretted version. The SRH505F is a five string version.
