The SR924S is a Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1991. It was produced in Japan by FujiGen as part of the Standard line.
For the SR924S two finishes were created each with different body material sharing the same specification:
1.- The "SR924S-BK" features a neck-through-body construction on hard maple wings body with arched top attached to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with an off-set oval mother of pearl position marker at 12 fret and a ebony headstock. Components include a HB-4 fixed bridge with 19mm string spacing, and a pair of EMG HG-P/J passive pickup's, a plastic nut, gold hardware and gotoh tuning machines.
2.- The "SR924S-QM" features a neck-through-body construction on quilted maple wings body with arched top attached to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with an off-set oval mother of pearl position marker at 12 fret and a ebony headstock. Components include a HB-4 fixed bridge with 19mm string spacing, and a pair of EMG HG-P/J passive pickup's, a plastic nut, gold hardware and gotoh tuning machines.
The SR924 is a related model with hard maple body. The SR924QM is a related model with quilted maple body. The SR924PD is a related model with padduk body.
The SR924S was only offered in 1991.
