The SR890 is a Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1992. It was produced in Japan by FujiGen as part of the Standard line.
The SR890 features a double-cutaway ash body bolted to a laminated SR4 maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers and a matching headstock. Components include an Accu-cast B IV fixed bridge with 19mm string spacing, and pair of IBZ AFR-P/J active pickup's channeled through a Vari-Mid 3-band equalizer, a plastic nut, gold hardware and Gotoh tuning machines.
The SR895 is a similar five string model with JJ pickup configuration. The SR890GF is a related model with basswood body and gravure top.
