The SR800 is a Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1990. It was made in Japan by FujiGen and replaced the very similar SR800LE.
The SR800 features a double cutaway light basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers and a matching headstock. Components include Ibanez low-impedance pickups with a Lo-Z-P at the front and a Lo-Z-J at the bridge, an Accu-Cast B IV bridge, an EQ BⅡ equalizer, black hardware and Gotoh machine heads. Controls consist of a balancer, a volume, treble boost/cut, and bass boost/cut.
The SR800L is a left-handed version. The SR800F is a fretless version. The SR800A is a similar model with an ash body. The SR990QS is a related model with a quilted sapele top.
