The SR800LE is a Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1988. It was produced in Japan by FujiGen.
The SR800LE features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers. Components include Ibanez low-impedance pickups with a Lo-Z-P at the front and a Lo-Z-J at the bridge, an Omni-adjust bridge, an EQ BII equalizer, black hardware and Gotoh machine heads. Controls consist of a balancer, a volume, treble boost/cut, and bass boost/cut.
The SR800LEL is a left-handed version. The SR800LEF is a fretless version. The SR885LE is a related five-string model.
The SR800LE was replaced in 1990 with the very similar SR800.
