The SR800A is a Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1998. It was made in Japan.

The SR800A features a double cutaway light ash body bolted to a maple neck with a matching headstock and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers. Components included a pair of IBZ AFR J/P pickups, an Accu-cast B20 fixed bridge, and black hardware. Controls consist of a volume, balance, treble boost/cut, bass boost/cut, mid range boost/cut, mid range frequency control and a Vari-Mid 3-Band equalizer.

For 1999 the body was changed to ash.

The SR800 is a similar model with (mostly) a basswood body.

The SR800A was discontinued after 1999.
