The SR740 is a Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2000. It was produced in Japan by FujiGen as part of the Standard line.

The SR740 features a double-cutaway mahogany body bolted to a mahogany and bubinga neck with a 24-fret wenge fingerboard with white side dots position markers and a black headstock. Components include an accu-cast B20 fixed bridge with 19mm string spacing, and a pair of IBZ DX-P/J pickups channeled through a Vari-mid 3-band EQ, a plastic nut, black hardware and gotoh tuning machines.

The SR745 is similar five string model.

The SR740 was only offered in 2000.
