The SR656 is a six string Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2015. It was made in Indonesia as part of the standard line.

The SR656 features a double-cutaway ash body bolted to a jatoba and bubinga neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with abalone oval position markers. Components include a Nordstrand CND J passive bridge pickup paired with a P neck pickup with an Ibanez custom preamp with a bypass-able three-band EQ, an Accu-cast bridge with 16.5mm string spacing, a plastic nut and Ibanez tuning machines.

The SR650 and SR655 are four and five string versions, respectively.

The SR656 was discontinued after 2017.
