The SR650 is a Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2015. It was made in Indonesia as part of the standard line.
The SR650 features a double-cutaway ash body bolted to a jatoba and bubinga neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with abalone oval position markers. Components include a Nordstrand CND J passive bridge pickup paired with a P neck pickup with an Ibanez custom preamp with a bypass-able three-band EQ, an Accu-cast bridge with 19mm string spacing, a plastic nut and Ibanez tuning machines.
For 2018 the neck construction was changed to jatoba and walnut and the fretboard was changed to jatoba.
The SR655 and SR656 are five and string versions, respectively.
The SR650 was discontinued after 2018 and replaced with the very similar SR650E.
