The SR505 is a five string Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1993. It was produced in South Korea by Cor-Tek as part of the Standard line.
The SR505 features a double-cutaway light American maple body bolted to a SR5 maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers and a black headstock. Components include a die-cast 5 fixed bridge with 16.5mm string spacing, a pair of EMG Select J5 pickup's channeled through an active 2-Band EQ, a plastic nut, black hardware and die-cast tuning machines.
The SR500 and SR506 are related four and six string models.
