The SR505L is a left-handed, five string Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez in late 2012. It was made in Indonesia as part of the Standard line.
The SR505L features a double-cutaway mahogany body bolted to a jatoba and bubinga SR5 neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and abalone oval position markers. Components include a pair of Bartolini MK1-5 passive pickups with an Ibanez EQB III preamp with a 3-band EQ with a mid-frequency selector, an Accu-Cast B305 fixed bridge with 16.5mm string spacing, a plastic nut, and cosmo black Ibanez die-cast tuning machines.
For 2016 the preamp was changed to the Ibanez Custom Electronics BEQ3 with a 3-band EQ and a 3-way mid-frequency selector toggle. For 2018 the neck construction was changed to jatoba and walnut and the fretboard was changed to jatoba.
