The SR420 is a Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez in mid 2013. It was produced in Indonesia and sold only in Japan.
The SR420 features a double-cutaway alder body bolted to a maple and rosewood SR4 neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot position markers. Components include a pair of Duncan/ Ibanez Jazz-style passive pickups developed in partnership with Seymour Duncan, an Accu-cast B300 fixed bridge with 19mm string spacing, an Ibanez EQB-IIIs pre-amp with 3-band EQ, and Ibanez tuning machines. Controls consist of a master volume; balancer; individual boost/cut for treble, bass, and mid; and a mid-frequency toggle to select either 250Hz or 600Hz crossover.
