The SR4005MM is a limited edition five string Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1998. It was produced in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line.

The SR4005MM features a double-cutaway mahogany body bolted to a SR5 wenge an bubinga neck with a 24-fret wenge fingerboard with abalone oval position markers a "Custom Made"" inlay at 24 fret and a matching headstock. Components include a Mono Rail bridge with D-tuner and 16.5mm string spacing, a pair of Ibanez Sonic Full Range soapbar humbucking pickups channeled through a Vari-Mid 3LC 3-Band, a plastic nut, chrome hardware and deluxe Gotoh 510 tuning machines.

The SR4000MM is a similar four string model.

The SR4005MM was only offered in 1998.
