The SR3006 is a six-string Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1999. It was produced in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The SR3006 features a double-cutaway mahogany body bolted to a wenge and bubinga neck with a 24-fret wenge fingerboard with abalone oval position markers and a matching headstock. Components include a pair of IBZ DXP-M(N/B)6 (active) pickup's on the neck and bridge positions, a Mono-rail fixed bridge with 10.8mm string spacing, an active Vari-Mid 3LC 3-band EQ, gotoh machine heads and cosmo black hardware.
The SR3000 and SR3005 are related four and five string models.
The SR3006 was discontinued after 2001 and replaced by the SR3006E.
