The SR3005E is a five-string Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2001. It was produced in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line. It replaced the similar SR3005
The SR3005E features a double-cutaway mahogany body bolted to a wengea and bubinga neck with a 24-fret wenge fingerboard with abalone oval position markers. Components include a pair of IBZ SFR M-B/N passive pickups with a Vari-mid 3-band EQ, Mono-rail bridges with 19mm string spacing, a GraphTech Black TUSQ nut, cosmo black hardware and Gotoh tuning machines.
For 2002 the pickups was change to Bartolini® Custom SR5 passive, and the EQ was replaced for a Vari-mid 3lc 3-band EQ or a Vari-mid Hi Fi EQ for the US market.
The SR3000E and SR3006E are similars four and six string models.
