The SR2605 is a five string Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2018. It is produced in Indonesia as part of the mid-tier Premium line. In the US market it has also been referred to as the SR2605E.
The SR2605 features a poplar burl top on a double-cutaway mahogany body bolted to a titanium reinforced panga panga, maple, paduak, purpleheart and walnut Atlas neck with a panga panga fingerboard with binding, 24 stainless steel frets, abalone oval position markers, and luminescent side dots. Components include a pair of Nordstrand Big Single passive pickups with an Ibanez custom preamp with a three-band EQ, individually mounted Mono-rail VS bridges with adjustable 16.5mm string spacing, a GraphTech Black TUSQ nut, and Gotoh tuning machines.
For 2019 body was specified as African mahogany.
The SR2600 is a similar four string version. The SR2605L is a left-handed version.
