The SR2505M is a five string Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2015. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line. It was offered for sale only in Japan.
The SR2505M features a double-cutaway alder body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret maple fingerboard with abalone oval position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Sonic Arch 5 soapbar humbucking pickups feeding an Ibanez Custom Electronics BEQIII preamp with 3-band EQ, individually mounted Mono-rail IV fixed bridges with 16.5mm string spacing, a Graph TUSQ XL nut, and Gotoh tuning machines.
Controls consist of a single volume; a balancer; a 3-band EQ allowing individual boost or cut of up to ±12dB for treble, midrange, and bass; and a 3-way toggle mid-frequency selector.
The SR2500M is a four string version. The SR2505 is a similar model with a rosewood fretboard.
