The SR2000 is a Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1992. It was produced in Japan by FujiGen.
The SR2000 features neck-through-body construction with maple wings attached to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl oval position markers. Components include an Accu-cast fixed bridge with 19mm string spacing, a pair of Ibanez AFR P/J active pickups channeled through a Vari-Mid three band EQ, a plastic nut, and Gotoh tuning machines.
For 1993 the fretboard was changed from rosewood to wenge and the position markers were changed to abalone.
