The SR1820 is a Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez in 2018. It was made in Indonesia as part of the mid-tier Premium line. It replaced the SR1800. It is also referred to as the SR1820E in some materials for the US market.
The SR1820 features a walnut and flamed maple top on a double-cutaway Mahogany body bolted to a titanium reinforced panga panga and purpleheart Atlas neck with a 24-fret panga panga fingerboard with binding and abalone oval position markers. Components include a pair of Nordstrand Big Single passive pickups with an Ibanez custom preamp with a three-band EQ, a Mono-rail bridge with 19mm string spacing, a GraphTech Black TUSQ nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
For 2019 the body material was specified as African mahogany.
