The SR1600B is a five string Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2021. It is made in Indonesia as part of the mid-tier Premium line.
The SR1605B features a poplar burl and walnut top on a double-cutaway African mahogany body bolted to a titanium reinforced panga panga and purpleheart Atlas neck with a 24-fret panga panga fingerboard with binding and abalone oval position markers. Components include a pair of Aguilar DCB passive pickups feeding an Ibanez custom preamp with a three-band EQ, individually mounted Mono-rail VS bridges with adjustable 18mm string spacing, a GraphTech Black TUSQ nut, and Gotoh tuning machines.
The "W" suffix in the model name indicates the wider string spacing on this model. Most Ibanez five string bass models have a 16.5mm string spacing, while the SR1605DW has an 18mm spacing.
The SR1600D is a similar five string model. The SR1605B is a similar model with different pickups and narrower string spacing.
