The SR1600D is a Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2021. It is made in Indonesia as part of the mid-tier Premium line.
The SR1600D features a poplar burl and walnut top on a double-cutaway African mahogany body bolted to a titanium reinforced panga panga and purpleheart Atlas neck with a 24-fret panga panga fingerboard with binding and abalone oval position markers. Components include a pair of Aguilar DCB passive pickups with an Ibanez custom preamp with a three-band EQ, individually mounted Mono-rail VS bridges with adjustable 19mm string spacing, a GraphTech Black TUSQ nut, and Gotoh tuning machines.
The SR1605DW is a five string version. The SR1600B is a similar model with different pickups. The SR1340B is a similar model with an ash and panga panga top.
