The SR1406TE is a Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2015. It was made in Indonesia as part of the mid-tier Premium line.
The SR1406TE features neck through body construction with a figured maple top on a mahogany wings attached to a titanium reinforced wenge and bubinga neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and oval abalone position markers. Components include a pair of Nordstrand Big Single passive pickups with an Ibanez custom preamp with a three-band EQ, independent Mono-rail IV bridges with 16.5mm string spacing, a GraphTech Black TUSQ nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
The SR1400T and SR1405T are similar four and five string models. The SR1406E is a related model with a bolt-on neck.
