The SR1306 is a six string Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez in 2016. It was made in Indonesia as part of the mid-tier Premium line. It is also referred to as the SR1306E in some materials for the US market.
The SR1306 features an ash and walnut top on a double-cutaway mahogany body bolted to a titanium reinforced wenge and bubinga Atlas neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and abalone oval position markers. Components include a pair of Nordstrand Big Single passive pickups with an Ibanez custom preamp with a three-band EQ, individually mounted Mono-rail V bridges with 16.5 mm string spacing, a GraphTech Black TUSQ nut, and Gotoh tuning machines.
For 2018 the rosewood fretboard was replaced with panga panga and the wenge and bubinga neck was replaced with pangapanga and purpleheart. For 2019 the body material was specified as African mahogany.
The SR1300 and SR1305 are similar four and five string models. The SR1406E is a similar model with a figured maple top.
