The SR1305 is a five string Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez in 2016. It was made in Indonesia as part of the mid-tier Premium line. It is also referred to as the SR1305E in some materials for the US market.
The SR1305 features an ash and walnut top on a double-cutaway mahogany body bolted to a titanium reinforced wenge and bubinga Atlas neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and abalone oval position markers. Components include a pair of Nordstrand Big Single passive pickups with an Ibanez custom preamp with a three-band EQ, a Mono-rail bridge with 16.5 mm string spacing, a GraphTech Black TUSQ nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
For 2018 the rosewood fretboard was replaced with panga panga and the wenge and bubinga neck was replaced with pangapanga and purpleheart. For 2019 the body material was specified as African mahogany.
The SR1300 and SR1306 are similar four and six string models. The SR1305B is a nearly identical model with black matte hardware. The SR1405 is a similar model with a figured maple top. The SR1825 is a similar model with a walnut and flamed maple top.
