The SR1200 is a Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez in mid-2011. It was made in Indonesia as part of the mid-tier Premium line. In the US market it was referred to as the SR1200E.
The SR1200 features an ovangkol top on a double-cutaway mahogany body bolted to a titanium reinforced wenge and bubinga Atlas neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with abalone oval position markers. Components include a pair of Nordstrand Big Single passive pickups with an Ibanez custom preamp with a three-band EQ, individually mounted Mono-rail IV bridges with 19mm string spacing, a GraphTech Black TUSQ nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
The SR1205 and SR1206 are similar five and six string models. The SR1200L is a left-handed version. The SR1400 is a similar model with a figured maple top.
