The SR1016 is a six-string Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1997. It was produced in Japan by FujiGen as part of the Standard line.
The SR1016 features a double-cutaway mahogany body bolted to a bubinga and wenge neck with a 24-fret wenge fingerboard with abalone oval position markers a "Custom Made" inlay at 24 fret and a black headstock. Components include a pair of IBZ ADX6-N/B (active) pickup's on the neck and bridge positions, a Die-cast 6 strings fixed bridge with 10.8mm string spacing, an a Vari-mid 3-band EQ , Gotoh machine heads and cosmo black hardware.
The SR1010 is a similar four string model. The SR1015 is a similar five-string model.
