The SR1006EFM is a six-string Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2005. It was produced in South Korea by Cor-Tek as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The SR1006EFM features neck-through-body construction on maple wings body with flamed maple top bolted to a maple and bubinga neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with off-set dots position markers and a matching headstock. Components include a pair of Bartolini® Custom (passive) pickup's on the neck and bridge positions, a MR-4 fixed bridge with 10.8mm string spacing, a Vari-Mid III HQ 3-band EQ, a Graphtech Black TUSQ XL nut, Gotoh machine heads and cosmo black hardware.
For 2006 the knobs was changed to black plastic.
The SR1000EFM and SR1005EFM are similars four and five string models. The SR1006EWN is a related model with walnut and mahogany wings body.
