The SR1006 is a six-string Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1997. It was produced in Japan by FujiGen as part of the Standard line.
The SR1006 features a double-cutaway mahogany body bolted to a wenge and bubinga neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with abalone oval position markers, a "Custom Made"" inlay at 24 fret and a matching headstock. Components include a pair of IBZ ADX6-N/B (active) humbucker pickup's on the neck and bridge positions, a Die-cast 6 strings fixed bridge with 10.8mm string spacing, an active Vari-mid 3-band EQ, Gotoh machine heads and gold hardware.
The SR1000 and SR1005 are similar four and five string models.
