The SR1000EBG is a limited edition Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2006. It was produced in South Korea as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The SR1000EBG features neck-through-body construction with a bubinga top on mahogany wings attached to a maple and bubinga neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with wood diamonds position markers with a special scroll inlay at 12th fret. The headstock has a veneer to match the top. Components include a pair of USA Bartolini custom pickups, a Mono-Rail IV bridge, gold hardware and Gotoh machine heads. Controls consist of a balancer, one volume, a treble boost/cut, a bass boost/cut, a midrange boost/cut, a midrange frequency control and a Vari-Mid III Hi-Fi 3-band system equalizer.
The SR1000EFM, SR1000EWN and SR1000EZW are a similar models with, respectively, flamed maple, walnut, and zebra wood tops.
The SR1000EBG was discontinued after one year of production.
