The SR06 is a six-string Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1991. It is the first six-string model in the entire series and was produced in Japan by FujiGen as part of the Standard line.

The SR06 features a double-cutaway ash body with an arched top bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dots position markers. Components include a pair of 6 strings special pickup's on the neck and bridge positions, an Accu-cast B VI fixed bridge with 10.8mm string spacing, an EQ-B II 2-Band, gotoh machine heads and gold hardware.

The SR05 is a related five-string model. The SR886 is a similar model with black hardware.

The SR06 was only offered in 1991.
