The SHRG1Z is an S series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2007. It is part of the H. R. Giger series with a zinc-coated body with an etched graphic print of a portion of Giger's painting Biomechanical Matrix.
The SHRG1Z features a zinc-coated mahogany body bolted to a mahogany and bubinga Wizard II neck with a 22-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with special Giger-designed inlay. Components include dual DiMarzio/IBZ humbucking pickups, a ZR double locking tremolo bridge and a locking nut.
It was sold with a hardshell case which featured and embossed Giger design.
Only 185 of these were ever made.
The SHRG1z was discontined after two years.
